Northern Bowl
Background
Two Athletic Associations NOSSA and NWOSSA each send one representative to the Northern Bowl. This Bowl Festival has been competed for annually since 2004. It should be noted that in both 2004 and 2005, there was an additional Bowl Festival that was offered, called the Central Bowl. The NOSSA champions competed in the Central Bowl for both those years and the NOSSA finalists participated in the Northern Bowl.
NOSSA has three member leagues and they playdown to determine a NOSSA champion. The NOSSA champions are awarded the Poupore Cup, which has been in existence since the early 1920's. Sault Ste. Marie has dominate this competition since the mid 1990's.
NWOSSA has only one league (Thunder Bay), therefore their league champion advances directly to the Northern Bowl.
